Event Notes: Ray Mendoza beating Angel Blanco for the NWA LH title has been listed here, but Blanco is still defending the title in Feburary 1969. Title change appears to have happened on February 14th.

Solitario had his mask on the line. Mendoza was hurt early in the first fall, submitted, and ruled unable to continue. Fans were fine with Mendoza not getting shaved (because he was hurt and he was the tecnicos) but he shaved himself out of respect on the Tuesday. Seen as a big upset and a career defining win for Solitario.

Missing from title histories, but appears to be correct. Rene loses the title by DQ for illegal punches (and disappears from EMLL for a while.)
