Rene took 2/3, the last when he moved from a dive and Anibal was KOed, not returning in time.

finals of a tournament to determine first champion, with Rayo de Jalisco & Dory Dixon said to be competing in a previous round in Pachuca. Mendoza at 91.5 kg, Solitario 91. Mendoza took 1/3. This supplants the recognized NWA LH title Mendoza had been defending.

A match between the last two NWA Middleweight Champions, who left the belt without being beaten. Guajardo was champ in 1974 and stripped for leaving EMLL. Anibal won the ensuing tournament, then jumped from EMLL days before this match. Anibal defended his title, though title match was likely not recognized. Guajardo weighed at 72 KG, seconded by Cesar Valentino. Anibal weighted 83 kg, seconded by Carlos Mata. Carlos Durate referee. Anibal took fall 1, Guajardo took fall 2, Guajardo knocked out Anibal with an illegal punch to the head in the third for a DQ.

Event Notes: Effective starting point LLI/UWA, though this is under the Promociones Mora banner and the UWA name does not yet exist. 345,000 peso gate, which Flores says is a record at the time.
